The Women’s Union of Thanh Xuan Nam Ward to launch the “Three safeties” model

On the occasion of the month of action for women and girls and on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the Vietnamese Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2021), the Women’s Union of Thanh Xuan Nam ward, Thanh Xuan district launched the “Three safeties” model in the ward. Three safeties include Food Safety, Traffic Safety and Environment..

On the occasion of the month of action for women and girls and on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the Vietnamese Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2021), the Women’s Union of Thanh Xuan Nam ward, Thanh Xuan district launched the “Three safeties” model in the ward. Three safeties include Food Safety, Traffic Safety and Environment Safety. Women’s Union Branch No.2 was selected as the model point.

At the launching ceremony of the model, Ms. Doan Thi Minh Giang – Chairwoman of the Women’s Union of Thanh Xuan Nam Ward provided information about the safety risks that women and children are facing, including domestic violence, school violence, sexual abuse, human trafficking, traffic accidents, social evils, black credit. Recently, the Women’s Union at all levels in Hanoi city have had many practical solutions and ways to effectively implement the movement “Building a safe living environment for women and children” to build a better living environment for women and children. The model includes 7 groups of solutions: Organizing propaganda activities; Building safety models for women and children; Training to improve the capacity of the Association’s staff; Providing knowledge and skills for women and children; Supervision and feedback activities; Continuing activities to ensure food safety; Continuing the campaign “Building the family of 5 Withouts and 3 Clean-s”.

The Women’s Union Branch of “Three Safeties” was launched in Thanh Xuan Nam Ward to help the union members become more aware of equipping them with knowledge for safety for themselves and their families, and to change unsafe food-related behaviors and habits, assisting them in activities to protect women, prevent family violence, help women build a prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family etc.
