After the finals between the ages of 18 and 35, the National Muay Championship 2021 has determined the champions of Muay Vietnam. In which, with 4 gold medals and 1 silver medal, the Hanoi team held the first flag of the whole delegation in the team content (ages 18-35), followed by Thanh Hoa (4 gold medals, 3 bronze medals) and Ho Chi Minh City, respectively. Ho Chi Minh City (3 gold medals, 6 silver medals).

Hanoi ranked first in the whole group at the age of 18-35.

Thus, at the end of the tournament, both the youth age group (15 to 17) and the Champion age group (18 to 35) witnessed the overwhelming majority of 3 units including Hanoi, Thanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City when the boxers from these teams are at the top.

In the youth group (15-17), Hanoi ranked second with 4 gold medals. Familiar names such as Nguyen Hoang Minh, Dinh Thi Hoa, Nguyen Van Thanh, and Nguyen Ngoc Hoang have brought Hanoi gold medals in this age group. Meanwhile, the host, Thanh Hoa leads the youth group with 6 gold medals, third is Ho Chi Minh City with 3 gold medals.

 The Organizing Committee awarded the first, second, and third flags of the entire delegation at the age of 15-17 to the units.

Taking place from April 11 to 18, the National Muay Championships 2021 are organized by the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the General Department of Physical Training and Sports (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).  Participating in this year’s tournament, there are over 300 athletes from 27 provinces, cities and industries across the country. Athletes competed in 49 weightlifting classes for men and women in two groups: 15-17 years old, 18-35 years old with 49 sets of medals.

The tournament is an important test for provinces, cities and industries across the country to evaluate the training and coaching of Muay in the past year, and also an opportunity for the best Muay fighters across the country to show their talent and bravery. This is also an opportunity for the national Muay team to select the best athletes for the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam at the end of 2021, as well as prepare forces to participate in upcoming continental and world tournaments.
