Long Bien Park is one of the 20 exemplary projects selected by Long Bien District for prioritized investment, aiming to celebrate major holidays of the capital and the nation, notably commemorating the 20th anniversary of the district’s establishment (November 6, 2003 – November 6, 2023).

The Long Bien Park renovation and upgrading investment project, undertaken by Long Bien District with a budget of 94 billion VND, covers an area of 21.56 hectares. The project includes construction, renovation, and repair of the lake embankment system, main and branch roads, lakeside promenades, stages, resting pavilions, public restrooms, sports facilities, entrances, fences, and technical infrastructure (electricity, water supply, drainage, lighting, etc.).

After 10 months of construction, the project has been completed and put into operation. The inauguration ceremony, along with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque marking the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2023), and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Long Bien District (November 6, 2003 – November 6, 2023), was ceremoniously organized by the Long Bien District Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on the morning of November 4, 2023.

Before the investment and upgrading, Long Bien Park faced numerous management and operational challenges. Now, following the completion of the project, Long Bien Park has addressed these issues, creating a green, clean, beautiful, and modern space. It has become a distinctive highlight in the landscape and architecture of the urban area, closely linked to the administrative center of Long Bien District.
