The Exhibition seems to affirm: “Solidarity is strength and the key to success”. With 2 contents The impression in the countryside and Under the glorious Party flag, the Exhibition “Song of solidarity” tells the story of Party’s outstanding members who were born in the same family or lineages in 5 rural areas, determined to pursue the revolutionary line, and then arrested by the enemy and imprisoned in Hoa Lo Prison and many other prisons. Amid “hell on earth”, the soldiers still shouted revolutionary slogans: “Solidarity is life, division is death”.

With close cooperation, perseverance, and unanimity, a small nation defeated the most powerful invaders. The Party had gathered and led the people to form a solid block and create bright and glorious history from the “sunny autumn in Ba Dinh” in August 1945 to the historic Dien Bien landmark in May 1954 and the Great Victory in the spring of 1975.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, the Head of the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board affirmed that “The song of solidarity” praises the promotion of the strength of the great national unity that is not only the valuable lesson in the cause of struggle for the liberation of the country but also plays an important role in the course of building and defending the country. It can be seen from the fierce war, the dangerous epidemic, or the severe natural disaster that, it is the whole nation’s sharing and unity under the Party’s flag that creates great power to revive life from pain and destruction towards a brighter future.

At the opening ceremony, visitors meet relatives of historical witnesses introduced at the Exhibition, listen to the beautiful love story of two revolutionary soldiers Mai Ngoc Thuyet and Nguyen Van Man during the campaign to establish the Communist Party of Vietnam. Comrade Mai Ngoc Thuyet is the younger sister of comrade Mai Lap Don, one of the first 11 members of a branch of Hanoi Youth Revolutionary Vietnam Association. Comrade Mai Ngoc Thuyet and her husband, comrade Nguyen Van Man, the Commissioner of the Northern Party Committee, had a touching love affair. The couple followed the revolution path and were arrested and imprisoned at Hoa Lo Prison at different times. When comrade Nguyen Van Man sacrificed himself, comrade Mai Ngoc Thuyet was still faithful to him. Their touching love story and the love for their child was told emotionally by their only daughter, Ms. Nguyen Hong Tuyen, a pre-insurrection cadre, who is 90 years old.

Also at the ceremony, a historical witness, the Colonel Dao Doan The Hung, the former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force Air Defense Force, the former Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ministry of National Defense, who performed the song “Solidarity” at the 3rd National Party Congress at Bach Thao Park 55 years ago, shared his feeling. The moment he stood on the command podium conducting a team to sing the song “Solidarity” was captured by photographer Lam Hong Long. The photo became one of the symbols of the national unity spirit.

In addition, at the exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to access many documents and items recalling the Party Congresses, including items of General Secretary Do Muoi.
