Reading is a good habit that needs developing

On the Day, the delegates and a large number of people from all walks of life in the district had the opportunity to visit exhibitions of books of all classes with nearly 2,000 titles, including genres, such as Science, culture – art, comics, cultural celebrities, outstanding historical events in the country and the world, listened to the introduction of the book “National hero, world cultural celebrity Nguyen Trai in his hometown Nhi Khe – Thuong Tin – Thang Long – Hanoi” and the book “Some teachings and stories about the moral example of Ho Chi Minh president”.

Vietnam Book Day is held annually to encourage and develop the reading movement in the community, raise awareness of all classes of people about the great significance and importance of reading, thereby equipping knowledge and skills, developing thinking, educating and training human personality. Vietnam Book Day is also an opportunity to honor the value, affirm the role, position and importance of books in social life, honor participants in collecting, composing, publishing, printing, publishing, preserving and promoting books.

Determining the importance of reading books, over the years, Thuong Tin district has had many activities to respond to Vietnam Book Day, World Book and Copyright Day for all branches, authorities, Social organizations and people of all classes to join hands and accompany in building and developing reading culture in the area. Reading Day aims to raise awareness of people, especially the students, about the significance and importance of reading. This is also an opportunity to create a healthy playground for students, contributing to propagandizing, educating and mobilizing them to participate in the movement of reading books and newspapers, helping them gain more interesting and useful knowledge.

In the coming time, Thuong Tin district will continue to further promote activities of propagandizing, circulating and providing books and newspapers of the district library to school libraries to contribute to forming reading habits and improving the sense of self-study, initiative, positivity and creativity in innovating learners’ learning and training methods and gradually improving the quality and effectiveness of education.
