My Duc district, Hanoi has just been officially recognized as meeting new countryside standards from December 5, 2023.
Recently, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed Decision No. 1571/QD-TTg recognizing My Duc as meeting new countryside standards in 2022.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Hanoi City People’s Committee to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directing the People’s Committee of My Duc district to continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, focusing on production and environmental criteria, to ensure sustainability in new countryside construction.

During more than 10 years of building new countryside areas, My Duc district has invested in building and upgrading nearly 1,234km of rural roads, including 111.5km of commune and inter-commune roads; 398.98km of village and inter-village roads; 400.75km of village roads and more than 320km of infield roads. 100% of communes in My Duc district have motorways connecting with district roads and administrative centers, ensuring convenient travel, creating motivation for socio-economic development in the district.
Currently, in My Duc district, there are many effective models in building new countryside areas such as: “All people join hands to build new countryside areas”, “Expanding rural roads”, “Green Sunday”. “, “Green – clean – beautiful village”, “New countryside culture”…
According to the Coordination Office of the New countryside Development Program in Hanoi, My Duc district recognition by the Prime Minister as meeting new countryside standards, up to now, Hanoi has had 100% of districts and towns meeting/completing new countryside standareds.
The achieved results are the premise for Hanoi city to strive to complete the goal of building new countryside areas at the city level by 2025 as proposed by Program No. 04-CTr/TU of the Hanoi City’s Party Committee for the period 2021-2025.
